EW Database Analyst

Location – Lincoln based c£: £40 - £50K PA + Benefits. Salary dependant on proven experience Permanent position from 6 Apr 2020

This role would ideally suit an experienced EW Database Analyst from a Civil Service, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force or Army background. Your interpersonal skills must be of the highest order as well as being well organised, totally reliable, self motivated be clearly focused on delivering quality services.

The EW Database Specialist/Analyst will provide support to the Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support Centre (JEWOSC) defence initiatives and stabilise operational outputs in key areas of the organisation.

We are recruiting for an Electronic Warfare (EW) database specialist/analyst that needs to be an intelligence, information and data fusion analyst with experience in radar analysis and JEWOSC Parametric Data (System Analysis/Data Analysis).

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required

• Must be a UK national with Security Clearance Secret or higher • 2810 / 3810 or equivalent qualification • Advanced EW trained or equivalent • Working knowledge or the behaviour of complex emitters • Knowledge of JEWOSC MD Life Cycle • Knowledge of Defence EW Database (DEWDB) / Improved DEWDB (iDEWDB) data extraction for specific equipment.

• Desirable to have minimum five years previous experience working with DI/JEWOSC environment • Skilled in the use of MS Office software Word, Excel and PowerPoint including experience of mind-mapping software or similar • Customer focus and good business sense • Strong relationship builder • Flexible in approach and clam under pressure • Have the highest level of personal and professional integrity • Have an analytical and logical approach • Have excellent time management skills • Required to produce high quality work and able to use own initiative • Self-motivated • A team player and the ability to liaise with staff and partners from other disciplines • Required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills • Good project management skills • Able to accept responsibility

Radar Intercepts Analyst

The primary tasks of the role will be to:

To conduct the tactical and strategic analysis using conventional techniques of the global electromagnetic environment, in order to provide the situational awareness required by the customers of the Defence Electronic Warfare Database (DEWDB).

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required

• Must be a UK national with Security Clearance Secret or higher • 2810 / 3810 or equivalent qualification • Advanced EW trained or equivalent • Experienced in the collation and analysis of intercepted non-communications signals from collection systems using historical reference data and digital techniques • Conducted the comparing the resultant analysis against the DEWDB baseline to confirm sensitive details of the intercept • Able to compile reports of any differences in parametric values and/or emitter/platform fit • Collate, analyse and process data from all available sources, comparing intercepted data with reference data housed in the Defence Electronic Warfare Database (DEWDB) platform and emitters applications
