The Mission Data Engineering course is designed to inform and introduce students to the key principles of Mission Data Engineering using an Agile lifecycle process. This includes gathering your organisational requirements with regards to the Mission Data lifecycle along with implementing and evolving the processes and procedures to meet these requirements through a variety of methods.
This is an interactive experience using a combination of lecture, hands-on practical exercises, and student-instructor interaction.
The course will also facilitate a number of practical based exercises using Mercury’s platform agnostic Mission Data Generator, designed around realistic scenarios in order to consolidate student learning. It is this combination of skills that will enable your organisation to keep pace with this fast-moving arena and develop an indigenous capability toward the future.
The course is designed to advance the knowledge and practical skills of your operational personnel, aligning them with best practices in software engineering and industry. Trainees will gain a deep understanding of the core principles of Mission Data Engineering and acquire practical skills in emitter data modelling, prioritisation, and building MD products.
This course does not aim to overhaul an organisation but equips personnel with the skills to be productive and the knowledge to adapt and improve existing processes positively.
By focusing on processes, the course prepares personnel to apply and manage Mission Data Engineering principles practically. This enables personnel to identify best practices and blend beneficial elements of Agile methodology into their own organisational practices, or even develop a new framework for their organisation.
It is desirable to have completed basic radar theory / radar fundamentals prior to this course.
